Not unce-unce club types, future trophy wives, etc. More gentrified, upwardly mobile, young professional types. I live and work in North Scottsdale Kierland area and nothing's good up here. A lot of places overall seem like havens for couples and groups of couples to hang out at. I'm just not in the loop. Do these types of places actually exist? Go out to any bar and it's either couples or groups of friends. You're just as likely to meet someone at the library or a grocery store. I once saw a list of the best singles bars in Phoenix and there was no proof in the pudding. Just a list of bars. Nothing about any of them struck me as a place where single people go to meet each other. Maybe I am oblivious to many aspects of the social scene. Do these types of places actually exist? It has that sort of crowd, though not quite as active as I'd like. The Crescent Ballroom, the few times I've gone, seems to mix it up... My brother lives in LoHi Denver: An active, lively part of town just adjacent to downtown and they have all sorts of places like this. I guess Phoenix it's all about bonding over healthy-looking zucchini at the Frys? In my experience you really have to go outside of the bar scene if you want a better shot at meeting single women. I used to meet a lot of girls in cool indie coffee houses, or on Mill not actually in the clubs, just on the street or places around. It's way too brotastic these days, though. I find myself hating being there when I've gone down. Coffee shops aren't very good either anymore. I like the First Friday artwalk. Cool crowd and vibe. I need to hit that up more. Any other special interests you have? Meetup groups might help, or special interest classes through the cities or community colleges, or even volunteer work is sometimes a good way to meet people. Remember that sometimes it isn't the person you meet AT the activity that is the right one, but someone they know.

Pattie's First Avenue Lodge is located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, convenient to the shops and attractions of downtown. The Mint is one of the most glamorous places to dance the night away in Scottsdale. Phoenix has certainly ended up on several custodes for being a great place to retire, and we've all heard about the wild dating and hookup scene that goes on in retirement communities, so it's at least worth a consideration.
